DCP Raptor 600
- Repair of a Motor Speed Controller -
The Raptor 600 motor speed controller was a product manufactured by (now defunct) DC Power Systems, Inc. This motor speed controller had a motor and battery current rating of about 600 Amps peak, and was designed for driving series-wound DC traction motors. Its main application was for use in full-sized Electric Vehicles (EV). Here are photos of the insides of the Raptor 600 which used to be installed in my Electric Jeep Cherokee. The controller was opened because it was failing and needed repair. More info later...
